Holiday Inn Express have recently constructed a brand new hotel in the heart of Grimsby, North East Lincolnshire. Conveniently located near the city centre facilities, it is an ideal hotel for the business or visiting traveller.
Fabrique Specialist Glazing, based in Grimsby were the chosen contractor for the new Kestrel Aluminium Systems windows, doors and curtain walling systems.
Once again Kestrel Aluminium Systems were able to provide a complete fenestration solution. Fabrique as the installer bring many years experience in the installation of specialist aluminium systems for the residential, commercial, education and medical sectors.

As a new hotel, a complete glazing solution was required. With 80 new rooms all requiring new windows, a new entrance and other areas of the hotel all called for architectural aluminium to meet the specifications by the architect.
Kestrel Systems and Fabrique Specialist glazing worked together on the project from the initial estimating stage right up to the finished installation.
Kestrel Aluminium Curtain Walling.
The 75mm and the 100mm Curtain walling systems were specified in the ground floor and upper level areas of the building. The Kestrel curtain walling system offers a choice of aluminium mullions, cappings and other extrusions enabling any design to be met whether low or high level glazing.
Curtain Walling is also ideal as it integrates perfectly with windows and doors enabling complete screens with access and ventilation to be created.
Kestrel Automatic Doors.
The Kestrel commercial door system is a tried and tested robust entrance and framing system. Doors are suitable for either manual or automatic operation as well as being compatible with the huge range of hardware that can enable doors to be either entrance, access control or emergency exit doors.
For the Holiday Inn project a combination of different doors was installed. Access control doors were fitted with the latest in high security magnetic locking systems. Fire exit doors designed to offer a vital escape were fitted with panic bars.

The 60mm polyamide system from Kestrel was specified for the windows in the 80 bedrooms and elsewhere in the building. These are ideal for new constructions with their front to back dimensions making installation easy.
